Boxmoor Landscaped Garden

key description: landscaped gardens at Boxmoor Conversion
year: completed 2017
client: private client
sqm: 148

Unit One Architects were commissioned again to design the landscaping for Boxmoor Conversion; a project which was completed last year. The concept idea was to provide a stark contrast between the rectangular period property and the garden so we proposed a curvaceous path to divide segments of the garden and creatively use the drop in levels to create beautiful features. The garden at Boxmoor is formally landscaped with a large decked terrace with a casual seating area; perfect for entertaining during those warm summer days.  Beyond, two circular spaces of lawn draw the eye from side to side down the winding path and make it feel wider than it is.  The lawns are surrounded by dense blocks of planting, shrubbery and trees.

With the sinuous gravel path framed with timber cutting through these lush evergreen lawns and planting, the gardens are truly reminiscent of the many rolling hills and fields that make up a great deal of the countryside here in England.
